Any members can arrange to play singles matches.  Doubles play is now permitted as long as you remain 2 metres apart as far as possible.  If you want to play doubles you need to organise your own 4 players.

Always observe the 2m rule, especially in the club house.

Do not let the nets down.

If possible, use your own balls.

Mark your own balls and use only those to serve.  Do not touch other people's balls.

If you choose to use shared balls then extra care must be taken to ensure you do not touch your face during play and you should clean your hands before play and immediately after finishing (use alcohol gel if required).

If you need to use the toilet facilities, remember these are communal. Soap and consumables have been stocked but bring spare. The hot water is on.

Bring sanitiser and wipes and please wipe all surfaces you or your clothes have been in contact with.

Individual coaching can also start and in order to make this workable for the club, we have asked Sean (coach) to use the rear court only to which he has priority.

Club mornings and evenings have now resumed.  Guidelines for club sessions are as follows.

1. The Government/LTA advises that players should bring their own hand sanitizer and use it after touching any shared surfaces. There will be hand sanitizers on the courts for those that have forgotten their own. These will be fixed onto the netting next to each court gate.  We encourage all players to use sanitiser before and after they leave court.

2. We must comply with Government track and trace requirements. Each player is therefore required for each club session print and fill out at home this form and leave it in the designated box in the tennis club room.  A limited supply of spare forms will be available in the club room, but players must complete a form before they go on court. If we are contacted by Track and Trace about a particular day, we must be able to provide this information.

3. Normally at Club Sessions organising 4 people to play is done randomly by picking cards from the pack held in the tennis room.  Players with say the top 4 cards will go on together, then the next top 4 until all courts are full. The touching of cards is seen as a possible risk area, so we are asking all club session players to have a pack of cards with them.  If asked to do the cards they will SHOW a card rather than give a card to each player.

4.  As per the new guidelines, we will provide tennis balls again as soon as the order arrives. However, players must respect anyone wishing to use their own tennis balls to serve with and act accordingly to avoid contact with the balls they provide.
